An eventfull day…
I know, you missed me… But I really couldn’t come yesterday because of a too buisy day !
As I am still very nice and I like you, I will tell you how it was…
At 6, the alarma clock rings… It is never the nicest moment of the day! But I manage to get myself out of the bed and walk to the bathroom… I
take a nice shower, that’s good!
One hour after, I am ready to go… And the day really starts! Oh yes, it’s the first school day! I had to push all these little students to be
able to get in the bus! (OK, I could have waited for the next one, but I would have been late at work!)… So, I get in… My second bus is less crowdy… But it’s true that this one is not going to
the center… But, there, big panic! It goes a completely other way than it usually does!!!! And I suddenly remember that the buses destinations are not the same during summer vacation and during
scholar time! Finally, panic fades away, my bus changed its way, but went to the correct place! I’m even at work 4 minutes early!
8:00: I start taking calls and managing our mail box… I don’t have a minute… Until my HR coordinator contacts me to get my sickness leave note…
Of course, I bring it immediately to her office, and leave it to a not really smiling blond Czech girl… As I already said, I don’t understand much of this stupid paper… But the blond girl doesn’t
say anything so I go back to my desk.
10 minutes later, the chat window of my HR coordinator opens again… “Sophie, there is a problem…” Uh???? What??????? What’s wrong now? Well I
re-read the sentence 3 times before reading the following… Even if I actually didn’t have much choice! And what a following! I am still officially ill! That’s why there was only one date on the
paper! There, I choose to laugh about it… My HR’s chat window is full of smileys, and very patiently, she explains me everything… I have a date for control… This day, my doctor must decide how
long my sickness leave will still last, and I can’t be at work and be officially ill at the same time!
So, she calls my team leader to explain her… And I am sent back to the doctor! MY HR takes care of changing my day-off as sickness day, so that
I can take it another time. I go back to the doctor. For me it is ridiculous because I am now feeling perfectly well! Well, I don’t care.
Once I am there, the doctor asks me if I am feeling better… And tells me “So, you will go back to work on September 10th…” Uh????
What did she just say?????? Is she crazy or what? She could see that I am not ill anymore, and I don’t need one more week! So as I am honest (what do you want, my parents raised me too well…) I
answer that no! I am feeling so well that I forgot the control and I already went to work this morning! “Really? Are you sure?” And I leave, with a note of end of sickness leave… That I directly
leave at the appropriate person’s office…
And I go back to work… I am immediately sent to lunch break, but I don’t mind. I use this time to fill in my university registration
form.
And it’s time to start working again… And I don’t kow why, my computer doesn’t want to work anymore! I really can’t do anything… So, cruel
irony, I call helpdesk… And it lasts… The whole afternoon! So finally, I didn’t work at all in the day! Well I just managed to take 25 calls between all this, but it is just a routine…
It’s time to finish… I wait for Hana and we go to the oriental dance… On our way, we stop to buy water and chocolate grapes… And of course, we
arrive late at the dance!
We warm up a bit and start… I must admit that the lesson is a bit boring… We did almost only “eights”… But from back to front!
After 2 hours of this, we finally chat in the dressing room, and we decide to go all 3 (and the very cute Ivana’s daughter) to have a drink. We
go back to the center and enter a pub that Hana knows. Food is very good, and I offer me a wonderful hot chocolate! Which is absolutely not reasonable when you know the estate of my bank account…
But anyway, we can pay with tickets!
It’s getting late… Outside, the air is freezing… It mustn’t be more than 6 degrees, and I only have a very thin sweater, and a jeans jacket…
And my hair are dressed with a bunhead, so I get little drops of cold rain on my neck… Not really nice! And I will wait for the bus 12 minutes… (I knew that I should have ran to catch the
previous tram!)
"Přišti zastávka Koniklecová"*… Finally the bus arrives ! I must
confess that I took the hard decision not to go back home see my cats and grab a clean pair of socks… And I don’t know why, but I’m happy! Isn’t it what is important?
20 minutes later, I arrive at Fito’s… It is so late that he is not even waiting for me anymore and was about to go to bed (What??? How can he
dare????????) But of course, I forgive him. And 5 minutes later I fall asleep in his arms.
I didn’t have one little moment to think, alone with myself… But as I read this, I just realize that it was only a typical day… And it has only
been happiness… I am with people I love, doing things that I love… Problems? There is always a solution. So life is beautiful, and will continue being…
*Next stop: Koniklecova.
